Exchange Guide for Migrating BZRX To Ooki Token

For Exchanges and Brokers this guide contains all the information needed for the migration of BZRX token to OOKI token.

Introduction

Following a bZx DAO vote, the community has adopted the proposal to migrate BZRX to a new token contract. Exchanges can use the guide below to prepare for the migration.

The bZx Protocol (BZRX) community has decided to move to a new token smart contract.
The migration starts on December 18, 2021 and has no end date.
The old token contract will remain active. There is not a deadline that requires users must complete the migration before a certain date. The old contract will not be frozen and will continue to remain active as normal.
This migration requires exchanges to take action.
Users that hold the ERC20 version of BZRX can swap manually from 2021-12-18 at 21:00 UTC
The migration will commence on 12-18 at 21:00 UTC
Both the old and new token contract implement the **ERC-20 **standard.
The old BZRX token’s symbol will change to OOKI **and its name changes to Ooki Token**.
The new token will use the symbol OOKI **and its name will be **Ooki Token
The move to OOKI will involve a 1:10 split -> 1 BZRX = 10 OOKI

Migration Instructions

The tokens can be upgraded at any time, but we recommend taking action as soon as possible by completing the following steps:

Upgrade the old tokens held in exchange wallets. Using the Ethereum address that holds the tokens to be upgraded, you can either:
1. Use the Token Migration Tool
  1. Approve BZRX for spending by the conversion contract: https://etherscan.io/address/0x6BE9B7406260B6B6db79a1D4997e7f8f5c9D7400
  2. Call convert on the contract. The migration contract is live.

2. Use the Converter Page

Rename the old BZRX token to OOKI in user interfaces and APIs and update branding assets.
Support deposits and withdrawals for both old and new token so that users don’t accidentally lose their tokens.
Switch all trading pairs to the new token.

Note that the supplies of the old token will decrease over the course of the migration, as migrated tokens are burned.
